Myopia: Misinformation Epidemic

Nearsightedness is common, and if you want to get science-y you can also call it myopia ( the scientific name). Myopia is one of the least understood and yet one of the most prevalent problems that exist today. A bad combination. Being quick to get glasses and/or lens isn’t going to solve the problem. Nearsightedness isn’t a mystery, it's solvable.
Myopia is a refractive error of the eye
Your eyes work by converting the light coming into electrical impulses. The electrical impulses then go to the brain where they are processed into an image

The light first needs to focus on a particular region called the retina for proper vision. Myopia isn’t a mental problem. You can’t just snap out of it. Nearsightedness is a physical deformation. The eyeball is longer than usual, which is why the light isn’t able to directly focus on the retina. This is the opposite of farsightedness. For farsightedness, your eyeball is shorter than usual
Longer Eyeball means vision isn't clear

Myopia is caused by a stimulus
Technically, your eyes don’t worsen. They just adapt to what you impose on them. The eyeball grows longer because a stimulus is compelling it to grow longer. The longer your eyes grow, the worse your myopia gets.
The most common reasons why your eyes become myopic are doing too much near work and bad habits. This can be with reading, writing, screens, or more

Myopia can be reversed
There are 2 major parts to it
Step 1
Prevent further Myopia development

Your eyes can still worsen after glasses, or surgery if the root cause isn’t eliminated. If you don’t get rid of the bad habits and stop doing things that are bad for your eyes, your myopia will continue to progress. Treat your eyes well
Make sure your vision does not worsen!
Step 2
Start providing reversal stimulus
The eye is a very stable organ. It has the ability to adjust to situations. However, by providing certain types of stimuli, you can get the eye to adjust its shape. Whether that is to grow shorter, longer, or in any direction

The growth of the eyes responds to changes you impose in the external environment. By offering the proper stimulus, myopia can be reversed.
